The Coordination Group of the Conference of Chiefs of Defence of Balkan nations met for the third time in Brasov, on May 13. In the reunion of the Coordination Group participated military experts from general staffs of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, FYROM, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and Romania.

The members of the coordination group agreed on all documents that would be submitted for the chiefs of defence approval at the conference in June.

The first Reunion of the Coordination Group took place in Bucharest in November 2009, a second one in February 25.

The Conference of the Balkan Chiefs of Defence is one of the most important activities on the agenda of the General Staff and is due in June 9-11, 2010.

This regional cooperation initiative focuses on the increase of military cooperation, trust and security in the Balkans.

The previous conferences took place in Thessaloniki (2007), Ankara (2008) and Belgrade (2009).
