Carol I National Defence University and the Romanian - American Academy of Arts and Sciences organizes, with the support of the Ministry for Education, Research, Youth and Sports, its 34th Congress on "Scientific Research - Security - Sustainable Development Connections" from May 19 to 23, 2010.

Computer science, economy, education, environment, law, literature, philosophy, political science, sustainable development, security studies are just some of the 20 workshops of the event that brings together over 200 participants from five countries.

The activity will benefit from the participation of professors from the Polytechnic School of Montreal, Canada, representatives of higher education institutions in the USA, Australia, Germany, the Republic of Moldova, Romanian universities and research institutes, leaders from the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry for Education, Research, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Administration and Interior, defence attaches accredited in Romania.

The plenary working sessions andr the workshops will be conducted at the National Defence University while the opening ceremony will be chaired by the University commander (Rector), Lieutenant General, Prof. Teodor Frunzeti, Ph.D., on Wednesday, May 19, 09.00 hrs.
