The Ministry of National Defence together with the Prefect's and Mayor's Office organize a public ceremony dedicated to the Day of the National Flag in Bucharest, in the square in front of the Palace of the National Military Club, on Saturday, June 26.

During the ceremony the flag will be blessed by a military chaplain, hoisted on the pole in the square against the musical background of Romania's national anthem.

Invited to the event are representatives of civil and military institutions, military attaches accredited in Romania, war veterans, retired and reserve military personnel.

Military men in other garrisons across the country will participate in the public ceremonies organized in honor of the national flag organized by the local authorities. Related events concerning the history of the Romanian national flag will be organized in large units and commands.

The Day of the National Flag was established by Law No. 96/1998 and celebrated each June 26.
