250 troops and 22 vehicles of the defence ministry act in support of the population of Neamt, Iasi, Bacau and Botosani counties in distress due to the floods.

The Neamt County - troops of the 43rd Transport Battalion and the 634th Infantry Battalion evacuate people and their goods from the towns of Tamaseni, Adjudeni and Rachiteni, work at the consolidation of the shore of Siret River in the area of Gadinti bridge and in other areas where the red code for floods had been announced.

Troops of the 498th Parachute Battalion, the 631st Tank Battalion and 635th Air Defence Battalion help evacuate people isolated by the floods and raising the protection dams in the towns of Saucesti and Letea Veche; they continue the work begun by the airmen of the 95th Air Base and the troops of the 115th Communications Command that helped there until the morning.

During the night, the crew of an IAR 330 L helicopter of the 95th Air Base on mission on the route covering the towns of Lespezi, Iasi County, and Filipesti, Bacau County, continuously surveyed the area in order to alert the population and local authorities before the flood struck and for the evacuation of the area.

The troops of the 198th Logistical Battalion help raising the protection dam, while in Dorohoi, Botosani County they continue unblocking the access routes.

During the last 24 hours, about 350 troops of the defence ministry intervened at the request of local authorities, for the evacuation of the endangered population and containment of flood effects in Botosani, Neamt, Iasi and Bacau counties.
