Romanian soldiers continue to help the flood victims in Moldavia in coping with the situation.

Ten trucks with bottled water, packed imperishable food, clothing, building materials and furniture were collected by Land Forces personnel. The supplies will reach the flood victims in Dorohoi, Botosani County. About four tons of imperishable food, water, clothing and blankets were donated by the staff of the Central Military Hospital, the Air Force Medical Institute and the Cardiovascular Centre for the inhabitants of the same town of Dorohoi.

On Wednesday, the troops of the 1st 'Dacica' Infantry Division carried two trucks of clothing, sports equipment and stationery for about 100 children in Doljesti, Neamt County.

At present, 51 troops continue their mission in Dornesti, Suceava County, and Dorohoi, Botosani County. At Dornesti, they act for the maintenance of the pontoon bridge while at Dorohoi, to evacuate goods of the flood victims, removing mud from houses or pull down the ones beyond repair.

Since June 22, over 2,800 troops of the Ministry of National Defence were involved in 136 interventions with 330 vehicles.
