On July 20, Romanian aviators celebrate the Day of Romanian Aviation and the Day of the Air Force, a military service protected by Prophet Saint Elijah.

During the event, highly significant for aviation fans, Air Force units will open their gates for the public as follows:

- Saturday, July 17 - the 86th Air Flotilla in Fetesti, from 09.00 to 17.00;

- Sunday, July 18 - the 71st Air Flotilla in Campia Turzii, from 10.00 to 13.00.

Attendants will see demo flights of MiG-21 LanceR, light airplanes, helicopters, static explosions, combat weapon systems and air models.

Pilots of the Air Force Staff units participate in OTOPENI AIR SHOW - 2010, organized by Compania Nationala Aeroporturi Bucuresti (the National Airport Company Bucharest) on the International Airport 'Henri Coanda', from 10.00 to 13.30 on July 17.

38 military aircraft among which IAR-316B and IAR-330 Puma helicopters, IAK-52, C-27J, IAR-99, MiG-21 LanceR, aircraft will perform flight in formation, tactical demonstration, acrobatic flight.
