A ceremony will be organized in Constanta military port, at 09.00 hrs.on Friday, October 28, to mark Frigate "Regele Ferdinand" sailing away on its mission within operation "Active Endeavour".

The Romanian frigate will conduct missions for preventing and fighting terrorism and smuggling alongside other ships within the NATO-led operation, from 1 to 30 November.

This is the sixth participation of the Romanian Navy in "Active Endeavour", which is an active contribution of our country`s active contribution to European security.

Captain-commander Mihai Panait commands the frigate that has 203 men on board.

Beside the crew`s families, representatives of the defence ministry, of the local authorities, reserve officers and veterans were also invited to participate in the ceremony.
