A MiG-21 LanceR military aircraft belonging to the 71st Air Flotilla in Campia Turzii crashed in the proximity of the airdrome at about 13.10 hrs. on Monday, November 1.

The two pilots of the aircraft died upon impact.

The aircraft was conducting a mission to establish the weather condition in preparation of the some training flights.

Additional information will be provided once the pilots’ families are informed, according to military procedures.
