A Land Forces platoon participates in "Friendship Action 2010", a Romanian-Chinese joint training exercise conducted in Kunming, Yunnan Province, the Peopl's Republic of China, from November 4 to 13.

The 25-troops Romanian platoon of the 26th Mountain troops Battalion from Brad and a Chinese Mountain Troops platoon will exercise specific procedures in conducting military operations in mountain areas.

The training program includes exercising climbing techniques, search and rescue, medevac in high altitude areas, using Chinese equipment and tactical exercises in mountain/forest areas.

The training will contribute to preparing troops to conduct summer-winter military operations at high altitude in extreme weather conditions.

This is the second edition of the Romanian-Chinese exercise "Friendship Action". The first one was hosted by Romania, at Brad, in 2009. This is one of the experience exchanges Romanian Mountain Troops have with similar forces in the military of other countries.
