Lieutenant General Patrick Auroy, Deputy Director for Defense Investments had a meeting with State Secretary Mihail Vasile-Ozunu, on Monday, December 20. The talks focused on the conclusions of NATO Summit in Lisbon, the reform of NATO command structure and the contribution of Romanian defence industry to developing NATO capabilities.

State Secretary Mihail Vasile-Ozunu spoke of the importance of the documents adopted at the Summit in Lisbon that impact the strategic guidelines of the Alliance and the developments in Afghanistan.

The Romanian official also talked of the support the Romanian Ministry of National Defence is willing to offer for the reform and transformation of NATO. He emphasized the need to develop capabilities necessary to sustain both ongoing and future operations. Also on Monday, Lieutenant General Patrick Auroy had a meeting with Brigadier Cătălin-Adrian Moraru, deputy Chief of the Department for Armaments, who made a presentation of the department, its organization chart and the integrated management of defence procurement.

During his visit in Romania, the NATO official had meetings with representatives of the presidential administration, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
