The Minister of National Defence, Gabriel Oprea, approved a humanitarian mission consisting in the transportation of a child from Bucuresti to Tirgu-Mures, with an AN-26 aircraft with MEDEVAC equipment on Tuesday February 1.

During the flight, the patient would be assisted by a SMURD medical team. The mission was approved at the request of Dr. Raed Arafat, Undersecretary of State for Healthcare.

The crew onboard of the AN-26 of the 90th Airlift Flotilla will operate under the command of Captain Commander Marian Craciunoiu.
