A military ceremony will take place in Constanta Port, on Friday 22, for the deployment of Frigate 'Regele Ferdinand' within NATO-led operation 'Unified Protector'. The Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea will be present at the ceremony.

The frigate, under the command of Col (N) Mihai Panait will sail with a crew of 205, will conduct embargo missions against Lybia in the Mediterranean. Two Navy officeres will be onboard ship as part of the NATO Navy Group staff in the Mediterranean.

Beside the crew`s families, the ceremony will be attended by representatives of the defence leadership, local public authorities, retired and reserve military personnel, war veterans.
