The Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea particpates on Friday 13, from 11.00, in the ceremony organized for the deployment of the 280th Mechanized Infantry Battalion to Afghanistan.

The over 600 troops of the battalion deploy for six months in Zabul Province. Their main responsibilities are to secure communications and important objectives, to assist the local population.
