By order of the Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea, troops and military equipment, across the country, should be ready to participate in clearing the snow and assisting people in areas, across the country, affected by the snow storm and the ongoing snowing, if requested by central and local authorities.

This evening, at the request of the Buzau Police HQ, 30 troops of the 2nd 'Getica' Infantry Division work with three trucks to clear some 100 cars blocked by the snow on European Route 85, in the proximity of Mihailesti, Buzau County.

The specialized structure in the General Staff keeps the situation in the country under observation, so that when requested by the responsible authorities to be able to intervene in support of the population.
