On Monday morning, February 6, at 7 a.m the sea rescue tug 'Grozavul' started to operate at clearing the navigable channel Sulina. The ship, that has a crew of 40 sailors and a 2,7 ton displacement, works at breaking ice on the Danube between Sulina and Tulcea harbors.
River tugboat 328 of the Romanian Navy resumed transportation of people along the Danube, between Tulcea Municipality and Tudor Vladimirescu.
A military detachment and a DAC 6x6 truck of the 335th Artillery Battalion started on Monday, at 11 a.m. the evacuation and transportation of a woman needing a dialisys from Calarasi, Botosani County to Botosani.
An Infantry Fighting Vehicle, MLI 84 M, of the 282nd Mechanized Brigade from Focsani, equipped for medical evacuation and a crew of five troops, intervened at 12 a.m.for the evacuation of two pregnant women from Vintileasca, Vrancea County.

A detachment of 40 of the 21st Mountain Troops Battalion work since 8.30 a.m. to clear the access roads to Predeal railway station in Prahova County.
Sunday night and Monday morning troops and vehicles conducted emergency evacuation of people in need of medical assistance. An Infantry Fighting Vehicle, MLI 84 M, of the 282nd Mechanized Brigade from Focsani, equipped for medical evacuation and a crew of five troops, successfully accomplished the medical evacuation of two persons from Balta Alba, Buzau County. After an extremely difficult passage through segments of the road where the snow was higher than two even three meters, the troops succeeded to take the two people to Ramnicu Sarat, where they were taken over by SMURD ambulances.

Sunday night, troops of the 282nd Mechanized Brigade succeeded to evacuate a pregnant woman from Vulturu, with the help of a IFV (MLI) and a 6x6 truck and accompanied the ambulance to Focsani hospital.
By order of the Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea, about 4000 troops and 1000 equipment are prepared to offer assistance, all over the country, if requested by local or central authorities, for the containment of the effects of massive snowfalls, snow storms and extreme weather conditions forecast for this period. Personnel can be augmented with up to 4000 troops according to developments.
The defence ministry keeps the situation in the country under observation, through its specialized structure in the General Staff so that they should be able to intervene in support of the population affected by the extreme weather conditions.
