The Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea approved on Monday evening, February 6, the humanitarian transport of two individuals with a military aircraft, C-27J Spartan, from Targu Mures to Bucharest.

The pacients, a man and a woman, suffered severe burn injuries and will be assisted by a SMURD medical team. The request for assistance came from dr. Raed Arafat, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Healthcare.

The commander of the crew of the C-27J Spartan aircraft is Captain Commander Ion Staiculescu. The military aircraft will take off from the 90th Airlift Flotilla Otopeni heading to Targu Mures, around 11.30 p.m.
