The Minister of National Defence Gabriel Oprea approved on Wednesday, February 22 a humanitarian transport with a C-27J Spartan aircraft, from Arad to Bucharest, in an attempt to save a human life.

The 48 year-old man in need of urgent medical assistance in a hospital in the capital cityman, would be medically assisted by a SMURD team during the flight. The mission takes place following the request of dr. Raed Arafat, undersecretary in the Ministry of Healthcare.

Commander of the C-27J Spartan crew, from the 90th Airlift Flotilla, is Lieutenant Commander Emil Tecuceanu. The aircraft took off from the 90th Airlift Flotilla heading for Arad, at 20.10.
