The Ministry of National Defence organizes on 9 May meaningful activities in celebration of the State Independence Day of Romania, Europe Day and the Victory Day of the Allies of WW II.

Wreath-laying ceremonies are organized in Bucharest at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Carol Park, at 08:30), at the Monument of Romanian Heroes killed on duty (Tineretului Park, at 08:30) and the Monument of WW II Heroes ("Carol I" National Defence University, at 10.30).

Wreath-laying ceremonies are organized at heroes` monuments in county capital cities and locations where large units are deployed. The ceremonies will be attended by active, reserve and retired military personnel, war veterans and local public authorities.
