Dan Tataru has officially taken over the office as State Secretary for Parliament Liaison, Public Information and Personnel Welfare during a ceremony organized at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters attended by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Corneliu Dobritoiu on Wednesday, 16 May.

At the investiture ceremony, state secretary Dan Tataru declared: 'I am honored and happy to be back to a working team that gave me many professional satisfactions. In 2009, we succeeded to create the Directorate for Personnel Welfare, a useful structure that proved its value during the times crisis, by solving many social problems of the military personnel. We will continue the projects conducted by this department and we will promote in the special committees of the parliament national defence related legislative initiatives'.

Dan Tataru has an Economic Management degree from 'George Bacovia' University, attended the 'Ambassadors and Generals' Course, NATO Defence College, Rome, Italy and the National Defence College in Bucharest. He held the same position of state secretary in the Ministry of National Defence from January to October 2009. He was appointed Secretary of State for Parliament Liaison, Public Information and Personnel Welfare by Prime Minister`s Decision No. 177 of 14 May 2012.
