The Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, participates in the 6th Balkan States Chiefs of Staff Meeting in Sofia, on 13-15 June.

Lieutenant General Walter E. Gaskin, Deputy Chairman, NATO Military Committee and Admiral Bruce Clingan commander, Allied Joint Force Command, Naples are guests of honor at the event.

Balkan CHoDs Meeting is a military cooperation framework dealing with fields such as asymetric threats, education, training and exercises, satellite communications, information management, cyber defence; at the same time, it is a complementary instrument for other regional initiatives, that contribute to enhancing regional security.

In June 2010, Romania hosted the 4th edition of the conference held in Brasov.
