A C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Air Force made an urgent humanitarian flight from Bucharest to Hanover, to save the lives of three children, on Friday night, 29 June.
The very young patients were assisted during the flight by a SMURD medical team.
The mission was approved by the Minister of National Defence, Mr. Corneliu Dobritoiu, at the request of the Ministry of Healthcare.
Commander of the military aircraft crew of the 90th Airlift Flotilla was Captain Commander Ion Staiculescu. The mission took four hours. The aircraft took off the 90th Airlift Flotilla at about 10.00 p.m., and reached Hanover at 02.10 a.m.
