Sportsmen from the Section of Ski Mountaineering of the Military Aplicative Sport Club ''Bucegi" (Predeal) represented Romania between March 28 and 30, 03 to the European Ski Mountaineering Championship organized in VYSOKIE TATRY (Slovakia) by the Ski Mountaineering International Committee.

During this Championship Silviu Manea ( coach Lucian Clinciu) became European vice champion at junior category. 300 sportsmen from 17 countries with tradition in winter sports (Italy, France, Swiss, Spain and others) took part to this competition.

The result obtained by the Romanian military is a premiere in the history of the Romanian Federation of Mountaineering and Climb.
