The Minister of National Defence, Corneliu Dobritoiu, met on Monday, 30 July, with the 111 graduates from the faculties of Electronic and Information Technology Systems and Mecatronics of the Technical Military Academy.

The defence minister explained the graduates the reasons behind the delay of the promotions in rank of the 2012 graduates: 'We go through a period of economic austerity. I am upset that, for the first time, the military cannot honor its obligations to the graduates.'

The defence minister presented them the next stages of their careers and emphasized the importance of the Course for the preparation of military personnel for the first working position, organized for the graduates of the Technical Military Academy, from 1 August to 26 November 2012.

'We sought for a solution, in all honesty, from various options. I hold your aspirations in high esteem that is why we tried to find a solution for the next period of your instruction, so that the continuity of your career should not be affected. You are young and beautiful and you should not give up hope. I am looking forward to meeting you at the promotions scheduled in December 2012.
