The State Secretary for Parliament Liaison, Public Information and Personnel Welfare, Dan Tataru, participated today in the military ceremony organized on the Commemoration Day of the Victims of Fascism and Communism at the WW2 Heroes` Memorial.

The religious service and the wreath-laying ceremony that took place during the event were also attended by representatives of reserve and retired military personnel as well as local authorities.

Similar ceremonies were organized today in places with historical significance in all large garrisons of the country.

23 August was declared Commemoration Day of the Victims of Fascism and Communism, by Law 198/2011. The same law stipulates that 21 December is the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Fascism and Communism.
