Alliance`s transformation is an important process for its future structure and efficiency, the pointed out in his opening remarks of the NATO Military Committee Conference, on 14-16 September, Sibiu.

Talking of 'smart defence' and 'pooling and sharing\", concepts adopted at Chicago NATO summit, the defence minister stressed that particular attention should be paid to the multinational solutions of sharing capabilities.

The Minister of National Defence Corneliu Dobritoiu pointed out that due to the limited defence budget, the only choice is to become more innovative to strengthen cooperation on defence procurement, to pool and share capabilities in order to defend the NATO core values.

Before the allied chiefs of defence, the Minister of National Defence also expressed the commitment of the Romanian Government to fulfil the assumed engagements.

At the end of his speech, the defence minister wished the participants fruitful debates and advised them to deepen these evaluations back in their capitals and at the NATO HQ as well.
