State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Sebastian Huluban, met on Monday, October 8, with His Excellency, Teofil Bauer, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Romania. During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the bilateral cooperation at political and military levels as well as its status in the security and defence field.

Also, State Secretary Sebastian Huluban emphasized the importance given by Romania to the bilateral relation with the Ukrainian partner, the common interest in ensuring the regional security in the Black Sea and Western Balkans area and the special efforts made by Ukraine in the implementation of the national defence system`s reform.

Ambassador Teofil Bauer spotlighted the good relation between the two states and requested Romania`s assistance and support in Ukraine`s process of joining the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization.
