The students of George Cosbuc Highschool in Bucharest will have the opportunity to learn of the national and international activities conducted by Romanian troops during presentations made in the frame of the project 'The Day of the Romanian Armed Forces Celebrated in Schools', on Thursday, 18 October.

A military tent will be placed in the highschool courtyard, where equipment, such as light Infantry weapons, flak jackets, Kevlar helmets and ballistic goggles, binoculars, compass etc., will be presented by troops of the 2nd 'Calugareni' Infantry Battalion.

Representatives of the information and recruiting offices along with military pupils and students will present the educational offer and benefits of a military career whereas troops who participated in missions in Afghanistan will brief them on the types of tasks they carried out.

The Ministry of National Defence organizes, for the first time, event 'The Day of the Romanian Armed Forces Celebrated in Schools', over 17 to 25 October. The project includes highschools from Bucharest (one in each city sector) and from across the country, where teams of representatives of the information and recruiting offices, historians or war veterans and soldiers who participated in missions abroad will speak of the significance of the Day of the Romanian Armed Forces, the types of missions the troops carried out and the educational offer of the military institutions.
