The first diplomas for the 'Companies supplying goods and services for military personnel' will be handed over by the minister of defence, Corneliu Dobritoiu, during a ceremony organized at the 30th 'Mihai Viteazul' Guard Regiment, on Thursday, 8 November.

Invited to participate in the event were representatives of the National Bank of Romania, the National Authority for Consumer Protection, the companies involved in the program and military personnel of the three military services as main beneficiaries of the program.

Program 'Companies supplying goods and services for military personnel' is meant to offer active duty but also reserve military personnel and their family members the possibility to acquire products and services at reasonable prices, as provided by the transparent agreements signed with interested companies.

The main fields of activity in the program include finance and banking, insurance, consumer goods, communications, telephone, internet and television, transportation, real estate consultancy, health care, tourism and others.
The basic principles of the program are respect for national dignity and obligations to the Romanian state, transparency, clarity of the offers, strict observance of legislation and consumer protection.
