The chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, visited Corporal Daniel-Gheorghe Tuica at the Military Emergency Hospital 'Dr. Carol Davila', Thursday, 20 December.

The soldier's health has a good evolution and he was transferred by air from the US Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany, to the military hospital in Bucharest to continue medical treatment and recovery.
Corporal Daniel-Gheorghe Tuica was wounded in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, on Sunday, 9 December, following a fire exchange with Afghan insurgents, while he was carrying a recce mission on A1 highway, Kabul-Kandahar.

The 29 years old soldier of the 33rd 'Posada' Mountain troops Battalion had participated previously in a mission in Afghanistan in 2010.
