The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, congratulated the troops that carried out missions in support of the population affected by the bad weather conditions. Until now, there were six requests for intervention on Tuesday, all coming from the public authorities of Vaslui County.

This way, 80 troops and 13 specially equipped vehicles responded promptly and took action in the following localities:
- Vama Albita, where the troops of 202nd CBRN Defence Battalion from Husi evacuated 134 people stuck in four buses; the people were taken to the headquarters of Husi Mayor's Office; later, when the road was unblocked they were taken back to Vama Albita to continue their travel;
- Fundatura, Pogana, Armaseni and Ciocani, where the troops of 202nd CBRN Defence Battalion from Husi, 52nd Mixt Artillery Regiment and 83rd LAROM Battalion from Barlad freed from snow two ambulances, that got stuck in the area of those localities, and carried the patients to medical facilities. While on the road, the troops also freed from snow other cars that were taken aback by the massive snowfall.

Some 4,000 troops and 800 equipped vehicles are ready to respond to emergency calls coming from the population affected by massive snowfall and blizzard.

The specialized structure of the General Staff stays alert as to the weather conditions, so that it is should be able to intervene in support of the population affected by the heavy winter conditions.
