State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Sebastian Huluban, met with His Excellency Mr. Talgat Kaliyev, Charge d`affaires of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Thursday, 17 January.

They reviewed the perspectives of bilateral cooperation relations and concluded an extended partnership between the two countries is needed.

State Secretary Huluban declared that 'we vouch for the importance of political dialogue within NATO with partner states from Central Asia, at the same time with intensifying practical cooperation in various fields of mutual interest. As to security through cooperation, we hope partnership tools will be used more efficiently, as NATO Summit in Chicago confirmed the added value it brings'.

The Romanian dignitary emphasized the importance Romania lays on NATO partnerships in general and on education and training in the cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan in particular.
