The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, ordered that a C-27 J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force carry out a humanitarian mission to save the life of a child who suffered severe burns.
The patient will be transported from Targu-Mures to Bucharest, being assisted by a SMURD team as well as a military medical one.
The intervention took place in response to the requirement of State Secretary Raed Arafat of the Ministry of Health.
The crew of the aircraft that belongs to the 90th Airlift Flotilla consists of Captain-Commander Ion Staiculescu, Lieutenant-Commander Florin Ianculescu and Captain Alexandra Cramer.
