The troops of the 282nd 'Unirea Principatelor' Mechanized Brigade of Focsani helped people affected by the massive snowfalls on Saturday, 26 January, at the request the Prefect's Office of Vrancea County.
Two troops intervened with a MEDEVAC caterpillar vehicle, to evacuate a person needing a dialysis from Ciuslea, Vrancea County, whereas two troops and a DAC 665T truck evacuated other 11 people needing a dialysis, from Homocea.
Two troops and a technical evacuation caterpillar helped an ENEL team to reach Botarlau and Suraia localities of Vrancea County, to make the necessary repairs to the electrical network.

The Ministry of National Defence is prepared to intervene with 4,000 troops and about 800 vehicles at the request of central and local authorities, for the containment and clearing away the consequences of dangerous weather conditions, with saving human lives as a priority.
