While in Craiova for the annual report of the 2nd 'Rovine' Infantry Brigade, the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, asked the soldiers to meet all their goals and be more efficient in so doing.
'The Ministry of National Defence is one of the three ministries, along with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transportation that would need a larger budget than in 2012. Nevertheless, in 2013 we aim at making activities of the defence ministry and of your large unit more efficient. You will have my entire support but, at the same time, I ask you to be fully responsible in the way carry out your missions', minister Dusa said.
Addressing the personnel attending the meeting, the chief of General Staff said that he appreciated the activity of the 2nd 'Rovine' Infantry Brigade and that he was convinced the structure was able to fulfill the missions it would be given. 'We have to use the human resource to its fullest in order to meet the goals laying before us in 2013', Lieutenant Genral Stefan Danila said.
Brigadier General Dorinel Duican presented the main objectives of the unit he commands consisting in maintaining the operational level of the subordinated units, with a view to participating in military operations in an integrated system at national and international level, according to the allotted resources and to maintain the operational capacity of the structures for interventions against military objectives and in emergency situations.
Also today, the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence met with military and civilian personnel, as well as wounded soldiers and widows of military heroes of Craiova garrison.
The defence minister had talks with reserve and retired military personnel and war veterans as well, and visited the Aircraft Factory in Craiova.
