The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa and the chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, participated in the annual report of the Land Forces Staff.

Lieutenant General Ioan Sorin, chief of Land Forces Staff, briefed the leadership of the ministry on the main activities conducted in 2012 and presented a detailed account of the activity of Land Forces commands and large units.

The defence minister praised mainly the professionalism of the troops that participated in missions in theaters of operations, trained in national and international exercises and assisted the population affected by unfavorable weather conditions.

'It was my wish to participate in the working visits in garrisons, in these annual reports in order to acquire as much knowledge as possible on the Romanian military and the problems they face and the solutions we have to give' was Mircea Dusa's message to those present at the activity.

At the end of the meeting, the chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, appreciated the Land Forces' high level of training and the way they are able to intervene in emergency situation so that the population understand they can always rely on the Romanian military'.

The activity was attended by the chiefs of Air Force and Navy staffs and other structures of the defence ministry.

Lately, the Ministry of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, participated in the annual reports of the large units across the country and of the service staffs.
