The Directorate for the Prevention and Investigation of Corruption and Fraud

On Tuesday, 26 February, the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa signed the appointment order of Brigadier General (Military Justice) Ionescu Dan Gheorghe as commander of the Directorate for the Prevention and Investigation of Corruption and Fraud of the Ministry of National Defence.

Brigadier General Ionescu Dan Gheorghe was born on 29 May 1964, in Bucharest; he graduated from the Law Faculty of Bucharest in 1997 and studies for a Master`s degree in Romanian and European Social Law (2008).

From 2004 - 2006, he was the deputy chief of Internal Audit Directorate, then chief of office, chief of section and chief of department in the Directorate for the Prevention and Investigation of Corruption. From 16 April 2010, he has been coordinating adviser to the defence minister in the field.
