Two militaries lost their lives and other three were injured in the air crash produced on March 7, around 16.00, nearby Beresti-Bistrita locality, Bacau County.

The military helicopter, IAR-330 Puma Socat-type of the 95 Air Flotilla crashed around 16.00, while flying in formation.

Following the CHOD`s order, all IAR-330 Puma Socat-type aircrafts were held back to the ground according to the procedure in force until elucidating the causes of the crash. Also, immediate measures were taken to secure the impact area.

The Minister of National Defence expresses his deep regrets with respect to the tragic event occurred, standing by the families of the militaries involved.

A board of the Air Forces Staff is currently investigating the circumstances in which the event occurred.
