Warrant Officer III-rd class Laurentiu Chiru and Sergeant 1st Class Vasile Manolache lost their lives in the air crash produced on Thursday, March 7, in Bacau County.

Warrant Officer Laurentiu Chiru, aged 33, was not married and was a board mechanic.

Sergeant 1st Class Vasile Manolache, aged 37, was married, had a child and a military medical orderly.

Major Petru Pricop (pilot) and Captain Catalin Balmus (pilot) and Corporal Doru Nanescu (paramedic) were injured in the same event. The injured militaries were transported with a C-27 J Spartan military aircraft to Bucharest for benefit from medical treatment.

Military commemoration ceremonies will be held in all units throughout the country as well as in those located in the theaters of operations on Friday, March 8.
