Slovene Military delegation on Official Visit in Romania

A Slovene military delegation makes an official visit in Romania from 26 to 29 March at the invitation of the chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, to identify fields of bilateral cooperation.

The Deputy Chief of General Staff for Operations and Training, Lieutenant General Valeriu Nicut, Ph.D., received the chief of the Slovene international defence cooperation, Colonel Samo Zanoškar on Tuesday, 26 March.

The meeting agenda included talks on Romanian military structure and missions, the evolution of the transformation process, the present stage of capabilities development and the participation of the Romanian military in international operations and missions.

The Slovene delegation was going to have meetings with the leadership of the Navy Academy, the Center for Training through Simulation, the Diving Center, the 2nd Mountain Troops Brigade and the Land Forces Center for Combat Training. There they would be briefed on the curricula and instruction activities conducted by the Romanian military that could become the object of cooperation with the Slovene military.
