NATO Deployable Communications and Information Module DCM "E" participates from 8 April to 15 July in operation "Active Fence", in Adana, Turkey.

During the mission, Romanian troops will ensure the communications of some air defence systems with NATO commands.

The deployment of NATO DCM "E" Module outside the national territory is done at the order of the qualified NATO authorities, in agreement with the orders and legislation in force.

DCM "E" was established on 1 August 2010, at the 48th Center for Strategic Communications and Information as the only NATO-type structure in the Romanian military that is manned with Romanian troops exclusively. During January-August 2012, DCM "E" was deployed in the theater of operations of Afghanistan to ensure the communications and information support of ISAF Command Post deployed to Kabul.
