The Romanian Land Forces' Day

The Romanian Land Forces, whose Service patron saint is Saint George the Trophy Bearer, will celebrate its Day on Tuesday, April 23, in all garrisons of the country where its troops are distributed.
In Bucharest, the activities will consist in wreath laying military ceremonies, the launching of the album "Land Forces a history in days and images" as well as in a torch withdrawal ceremony.
Also, "drill-team" exercises and performances of the 30th "Mihai Viteazul" Guard Regiment's and 1st "Dacica" Infantry Division's Bands will take place in the main parks of our capital city, on Tuesday.
Representatives of the Ministry of National Defence, local public authorities, reserve and retired military personnel and war veterans were invited to attend the activity.
Prior to this anniversary, a series of activities dedicated to this event took place in the Land Forces garrisons throughout the country such as: the press cup at target shooting, symposiums, commemoration of the local units' combat traditions, book and photography exhibitions, the open doors' day and sports and military competitions.
