The State Secretary for Parliament Liaison, Public Information and Personnel Welfare, Vasile Costea, met on June 5 with a delegation of the Ministry of Defence of South Africa headed by MD Sam Makhudu Gulube, Defence Secretary for War Veterans who visited our country over 4 and 7 June.

The officials discussed topics of bilateral cooperation in fields of common interest, such as defence-related scientific research and experience exchanges in the field of military education.

The members of the South African delegation were highly interested in the way the defence ministry manages aspects related to increasing personnel's welfare in general and of the war veterans in particular.

The delegation's visit agenda includes visits to the National Defence University "Carol I" and the Military Hospital "Dr. Carol Davila".
