NAPMO Board of Directors Met in Bucharest

The NAEW&C Program Management Organization Board of Directors met at the Palace of the National Military Club over 4 to 6 June. During the event, the Romanian officials advocated the importance of keeping Romania involved in this multinational project, according to the commitments assumed in 2009.

The Board of Directors is the only authority that manages NAEW&C Program technically, ensures its logistic and financial support and monitors contracts, from acquisition to delivery and maintenance of equipment.
Prior to this reunion, at the beginning of the week, the Chairman of the NATO AEW&C Program Management, Mr. Gilbert Mace, was received by Lieutenant General Stefan Danila, chief of General Staff.

The two officials discussed Romania's support of the efforts of the Alliance and especially of NAEW&C.

The reunion at the National Military Club brought together representatives of all nations participating in the NATO Program, namely: Romania, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Luxemburg, Great Britain, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the USA Turkey and Hungary.
