The State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Sebastian Huluban, met with Lieutenant General Vahid Aliyev, Assistant to Azerbaijani President in defence related matters, on Friday, 7 June.

The two parties reviewed the latest developments of the defence cooperation between Romania and Azerbaijan. They discussed particular aspects of the two countries’ security and defence policy, focusing on the Black and Caspian seas and the importance of developing projects that could be implemented by the two armed forces.

They also talked of Azerbaijan’s relation to NATO and the support Romania is giving in this respect.

During his visit to the defence ministry, the Azerbaijani official was also received by the chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Stefan Danila.
