Prime Minister Victor Ponta accompanied by Minister of National Defence Mircea Dusa made a visit to military port Constanta, on Friday, 30 August.

The two officials assisted to one of the stages of the tactical exercise conducted on frigates Regina Maria and Regele Ferdinand, with a view to preparing for Operation Active Endeavour.

During the event, Prime Minister Victor Ponta told the troops he was proud of their accomplishments and that he was convinced they would deal successfully with the difficulties that might arise during the mission. At the same time, the prime minister congratulated the soldiers for the way they represent Romania during their international missions.

At the end of the exercise, there was a discussion on the extent to which Navy Forces goals 2013 were met and this was an opportunity to visit military ships as well.
