A C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force took off from the 90th Airlift Flotilla at 15.00, on Friday, 30 August. The aircraft heading for Hungary has a SMURD medical team onboard, for the assistance of the Romanian citizens involved in the car accident that occurred in the neighboring country.

The mission was approved by Defence Minister Mircea Dusa. The crew consists in pilots, lieutenant commanders Cornel Mladin and Florin Ianculescu, technical staff, WO Iulian Chifan and paramedical staff, Sergeant Dumitru Miu.
