Bilateral meeting of the Defence Ministers of Romania and Republic of Moldova

On Friday, September 20, at the MoND Headquarters, the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, and the Defence Minister of Republic of Moldova, Vitalie Marinuta, agreed upon maintaining an increased level of the bilateral military cooperation between the two military institutions. 'We hope we will have the Bilateral Military Cooperation Agreement in the education and classified information fields signed by November. The signing of these documents will open new perspectives for the collaboration between the Romanian and Moldovan militaries', stated minister Dusa, also specifying the fact that these documents are an important step in the development of the bilateral relations.

At the same time, the Romanian defence minister reassured his Moldovan counterpart of Romania`s support in the field of military doctrine reshaping, defence planning as well as throughout its potential integration process into the European Union.

In his turn, the Defence Minister of Republic of Moldova thanked the Romanian Armed Forces for their constant support given throughout the Moldovan Armed Forces` reorganization and modernization process.
