The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, signed the post-mortem promotion orders to Second Lieutenant Rank of Sergeant 1st Class Adrian Postelnicu and Warrant Officer IIIrd Class Vasile Claudiu Popa, who lost their lives while executing a combat mission conducted under the National Colors of Romania in the Eastern Afghanistan.
Also, the defence minister submitted to the President of Romania his proposal of awarding the two post-mortem commissioned officers with 'Steaua Romaniei' National Order in the Rank of Knight, with the war mark.
Religious and military commemoration ceremonies for the two heroes will be organized in all military units located in the country or deployed outside the national territory on Monday, September 23, at 14.00.
