The Minister of National Defence ordered the deployment of the personnel and technical means of the 2nd Infantry Division in the counties of Braila, Buzau and Vrancea, in support of the population affected by the massive snowfalls.

Once the red code was issued, minister Dusa ordered that all forces available in Buzau, Vrancea, Braila and Galati counties be prepared for intervention at the request of local authorities. At present, the troops of Sibiu garrison are on route to the crossroads of routes connecting Brasov, Sibiu and Rm. Valcea, in order to bring food and water to the people stuck there.

The troops of the Application School for Combat Support Units of Rm. Valcea continue to free from snow the public roads of Valcea County. 25 soldiers and three high power devices of the 10th Engineer Brigade work to free the access roads of Jirlau and Galbenu.

29 soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Battalion work to unblock traffic on route A2.

52 soldiers and 12 machines of the 1st Infantry Division, of the 2nd Logistic Base and Logistic Support Base work in Boldesti, Gradistea, Salciile, Baba Ana, Fulga and Ciorani, Prahova County to free from snow and save the people endangered by the heavy snowfalls and to transport materials and bring them food and water.

25 troops and 2 machines of the 33rd Mountain Troops of Curtea de Arges carry out a mission consisting in helping some tourists stuck in an isolated chalet in the area of Poienile Valsanului, Arges County.
