The Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, participated in the ceremony for the deployment of the 20th 'Dolj - 'Scorpionii Negri Infantry Battalion to Afghanistan, on 2 February.

'You are soldiers with lots of experience in theaters of operations as you conducted many missions in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Iraq over the years, when you showed professionalism and determination. That is why I am convinced that now you will rise up to expectations once more', Minister Mircea Dusa said.

The defence minister has also asked the soldiers to do their best for an excellent cooperation with the Afghan National Security Forces so that they can take over the command and ensure a stable security environment, favorable to economic and institutional development of Afghanistan'.
